Sharyn Allen – Work Skills Trainer
Sharyn enjoys being able to provide support and assistance in sourcing training and work outcomes whilst working with disadvantaged youth and adults. Sharyn brings to her role numerous years of experience in working in corrections and the disability employment sector.
Many years of experience in the New Zealand Department of Corrections working with both youth and adult offenders enables me to bring to the Artius Foundation Work Skills Trainer position a passion to provide a pathway to all participants in their journey for them to reach their potential.
Sharyn’s key objectives are to deliver case management services and work skills training to assist disadvantage youth whom are either directed under Youth Justice, Probation and Parole or Court Orders between the age of 15 and 19 years old to gain qualifications. Through a focused delivery approach providing direct assistance Sharyn aims to enable disadvantaged youth to enter and stay in the workforce through deliver of the Artius Foundation soft skills programs.
Sharyn is passionate about assisting disadvantaged youth to achieve their own personal goals towards gaining employment or further qualifications, and believes these very skills and long term goals contribute towards self-confidence and creating safer communities.
